Boutiques and Vendors

I will have a few hours to shop while in Berlin. Can anyone tell me the area where there are 'boutiques' type of shops, antiques and Vendors (if there are) that sell paintings?

Thank you!

Hi Jacers1,

If you are looking for up market designer outlets, "Chanel, Tag, Mont Blanc etc" you could try KaDeWe - major department shopping store - a little like Harrods in London with fantastic 6th floor food/wine and all the designer brands on ground level. It is quite up market and located walking distance of Zoologicalgarden station or Wittenburger Platz station on U2.

You could also try the area around Friedrichstrasse with Galleries Lafayette and many new up market designer outlets "Bally" etc. - Französische Straße - U-bahn

For antiques checkout Suarezstrasse in Charlottenburg, a street full of antique dealers - located walking distance from Schloss Charlottenburg - U2 - U-bahn station.

Berlin is huge and widespread city without a single center. And this applies also to the things you're looking for. It's also pretty dynamic. If the street XY was 5 years ago the place for "something" this scene may well have moved in the meantime.

a generic link on shopping districts

antique market at the Ostbahnhof (on Sundays)
