Reichstag to Alexanderplatz in under 1/2 hour

We reserved a 9 am tour (1 1/2 hours) at the Reichstag for our upcoming July trip to Berlin (only 3 days in Berlin). We were hoping to get to Alexanderplatz for the Fat Tire Bike Tour by 11 am, I assume by taxi. We know we will miss the opportunity to walk around the glass dome but is the half hour realistic? (on a Sunday). Any logistics advice?

Perfectly possible, on the 100 bus: it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes, though you might have to wait up to 10 minutes for the bus. It would be even faster in a taxi, which you wouldn't have to wait for.

But it's a pity to miss the dome.

Some tours don't last the full 1.5 hours - it depends on the size of the group, the questions people ask, and the enthusiasm of the guide in answering them. You may be able to spend a few minutes in the dome at the end of the tour, and if it looks possible i.e. if your tour ends a little before 10.30, you might think it would be worth spending a few euros on a taxi to give yourself a unique Berlin experience before heading off for the next unique Berlin experience!

Enjoy both. The Reichstag tour is well worthwhile and very interesting, and I'm sure the bike tour, which I haven't done, is fun.
