I need some advice about getting value for money with transport, attractions and museums for my trip to Berlin.
My partner and I are arriving in Berlin on Saturday 31 May and leaving Saturday 1 June, so will want to make of public transport for 8 days, and attractions / museums most likely for 6 days.
I know I need a travel pass that covers ABC, as we will take public transport from Schonefeld airport to our hotel near the Zoo, and also we want to visit Potsdam etc. I understand there is an upgrade for the Welcome Card to include Museum Island.
However, as we will want to also do other museums / cultural attractions, does this mean it would be better for us to get the 5 day Welcome Card without the upgrade for Museum Island, and buy a Museum Pass separately? And also do pay as you go on travel for 2/3 days. I couldn't see online any option to get a public transport pass for more than 5 days?
I’m sorry for what is possibly a complicated question!
Thank you for any advice,
