i will be travelling from New York to Berlin for a 1-month stay in the near future. I looked to my cellular carrier Verizon with regards to calling and data plans. I could get a discounted plan for cell calls for $5/month and a data plan that charges $25/100 megabyte plus $25/month for cellular hot-spot feature for my iPhone 5. I have looked at service providers in Berlin (O2, Vodafone). It seems that purchasing a stick (which one) and a pay as you go data plan makes better sense. Agreed? What I fear is somehow signing a "foreign language" contract that would lock me in for "months/yrs" for a plan I will need only for 1 month. Any advice?
