Travelling from London to Emden

I'm looking for advice on getting from London to Emden. Which city is best in terms of getting to Emden by train-Amsterdam, Groningen, Bremen or Hamburg?

Thanks

Probably much of a muchness between Groningen and Bremen - Amsterdam and Hamburg are further away, and the journey takes you through Groningen and Bremen respectively. But why don't you look it up on www.bahn.de?

I would probably forget about flying and take the overnight ferry from Harwich... journey time from Hoek van Holland is between five and six hours, but it's so much more relaxing than flying. And you can buy a through ticket from London to anywhere in the Netherlands (the ticket actually says "Any Dutch Station") for something ridiculously cheap like £39 plus the cost of your cabin. You would then just need a ticket from the border to Emden, which you can get on the train.
