World's oldest rosebush

I have read that the world's oldest rosebush is in Hildesheim. Is that fact or fiction? Information on the Internet indicated that it was in proximity to a church or cathedral. No rosebush is mentioned in Hildesheim sites of interest. I should think that any living thing dating back to the early Middle Ages would be a site of interest.
