Taxis in and around Mecklenburg-West Pomerania

Does anyone know what a taxi would cost either from Warnemunde to Kuhlungsborn or vise versa, or Warnemunde to Bad Doberan or vise versa. We are arriving on a cruise ship this summer and want to see this area but do not necessarily need a guided tour. We would like to take the Molli train, visit along their route, and know with taking bus/train options for connections, we are locked into times. We would like to be more relaxed and flexible in our travel.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

A taxi to Bad Doberan costs 30€, to Kühlungsborn ~40€. So, 60-80€ + 12€/person (Molli) for the whole trip.

The same trip by train costs around 30€ +12€/person if you use a Länderticket. A group day ticket by the local transport network (VVW) includes the Molli and costs 40€ for up to 5 persons.

You can easily do this trip by train. The S-Bahn from Warnemünde to Rostocks main station starts at the pier, and a direct train from Rostock to Bad Doberan runs every hour. It takes ~50min to get there.

BTW: we did this tour by bicycle (5€/person) in the past and needed less than one hour to Bad Doberan (16km/10miles). At Bad Doberan we visited the minster, took the Molli to Kühlungsborn (ticket for the bicycles was ~3€/each) and cycled back to Warnemünde (23km/14miles/90min) via Heiligendamm and the Ghost Wood near Nienhagen.
