"Dusseldorf Weeze "

Ryanair like: Weeze is some 80 km from Düsseldorf

shuttle bus or train

airport-weeze.de/…

DB timetable

http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/e

From: Flughafen Weeze

To: D

For a single traveller shuttle bus will be the best option.

With more persons there is a mini group (2-5 persons) day ticket covering all local public transport in the state North Rhine-Westphalia for EUR 29,50. This ticket covers the trains from Weeze to Düsseldorf and also the trams and buses in Düsseldorf.

To let people know travelling to Weeze that if your Ryanair flight is late arriving as ours was Friday last, then the shuttle bus into Dusseldorf might not wait.

We arrived at the bus stop just in time and the bus had already gone, presumably knowing the flight was late the driver didn't want to bother hanging around.

The other best option was the shuttle bus to Duisburg but as this was only a ten seater, it was already full when we were made aware of it.

The lady on the airport information desk though was very helpful. She ordered us a taxi which we shared amongst 8 of us into Duisburg and the driver charged 10 euros each, which was the same fare as the bus and we were able to get a train within 15 minutes into Dusseldorf.
