Train from Amsterdam to Dusseldorf

Hi there,

i need to travel to Dusseldorf from Amsterdam. What is the best train to look at? Is it cheaper to book online or when i am in Amsterdam?

If you go to the German Rail website www.bahn.com you can punch in your expected travel date and the best time for your journey. There is an English language option.

If you can book ahead, you can often save money. This will lock you into a date and time for the trip. If you wait until you are in Amsterdam, you'll pay full price, but you'll also have the most flexibility. Buy a reservation to insure that you have a seat.

The ICE trains are the best for the journey, although some trips require a change of trains. If you can book one of the ICE trains with no changes (best if you are a rail "novice"), then you'll have the fastest journey.

Hi,

Normal one-way fares are from EUR 32.70. Savings fares from EUR 19 may be available when booked well in advance (max 92 days). Savings fares are only valid on trains they are booked for.
