Dusselforf Trains

Hello, Thank you for the answers to my other question. I have another!

We fly into Dusseldorf (Weeze?) ... We plan to spend the first night in Dusseldorf city center. The following day travel to Cologne . Then on the Thursday travel back to Dusseldorf airport.

Are there two airports in Dusseldorf?

If yes, how far is the Weeze airport from Dusseldorf city and is there a train.

For our return journey, from Cologne to Weeze, can you suggest where I can find out re train and cost please.

Thank you for your help :) much appreciated

Weeze airport is around 85km from Düsseldorf near the Dutch border. There an hourly bus link to Kevelaer Bahnhof where you can get a local train to Düsseldorf. The whole journey takes about an hour and a half. More likely is a direct coach link from the airport to Düsseldorf.

Hey Thank you for this response! We are fying in on monday and still trying to sort out our travel from Weeze to the City! If only we had know the airport was so far out we would have got flights to DUS!!!

There are 5 adults. So our best option sounds like it will be a mini group ticket from Weeze to the City? Is that correct? Thank you very much for your help.

yes you can purchase this on the shuttle bus from the airport to either of the 2 local town stations (Kevelaer or Weeze)

then use the same ticket for your onward journey on the train

the German train system is spot on, most if not all stations have machines which can print out all your information on mini cards, (and whit a language option for English) detailing exactly what time, what station, what platform you arrive in, what platform you need to change to
