We (2 adults and 1 child aged 11) plan to take a day train from Munich to Interlaken in early July, and we want to buy a point-to-point saver ticket (no change) as most train trips are in Switzerland (so we'd have swiss pass). Peace of mind is our key concern while money saving is next. Browsed www.bahn.de and found that there is no direct train and there're a few transfer points that we gotta jump on and off different trains. But the transfer time could be as short as 3-4 minutes and the platform numbers are not necessarily consecutive.
(1) When buying tickets, should we limit our choice to trains that offer longer transfer time instead of just leaving it as "standard"? If yes, what is the minimum transfer time we should specify?
(2) Does the ticket purchase through www.bahn.de automatically mean that we have seats reserved for us?
(3) Do we have to buy another ticket if missing the next train upon transfer ?
Most grateful for help and advice.
