If you're a UK resident/citizen, all you need is your local licence. If you're a resident/citizen of a country outside the EC, you'll require an International licence.

Check your insurance, you will need fully comp to be covered in the rest of Europe & there may be restrictions on the length of time you are allowed to be out of the country in any one trip.

Your full UK licence is all that is required.

"Check your insurance, you will need fully comp to be covered in the rest of Europe "

That's wrong senyoralan..............your normal british insurance will be valid if you're driving in Spain, but you'll only be covered for the minimum....third party only.

The whole green card thing is a scam to get more money out of us.

If you're covered with Norwich union, (the last time I looked) they give you 60 days in Europe with the same cover you have in the UK......for 'free'
