Trains

Hi, I wanted to see if anyone knew how far in advance one should book the high-speed train? I'm looking to travel in mid-June?

Thanks!

Optimum time is 62 days in advance for the best chance to get the discounted tickets, although some routes are now available earlier. Best way is to keep checking the dates you want. Also read "How can I buy Renfe tickets online" - Top questions on right hand side of this page.

Pavoreal is correct about 62 days in advance of your trip. Try to get the discounts.

DON'T wait until 62 days before your trip, as Pavo said, some routes are now available earlier and this includes most of the AVE (high-speed) routes. This is part of the changes coming in ahead of the opening up of ticket sales coming in in July. We have had instances recently where people have been told to wait until 62 days before only to find all the discounted tickets have gone.

It really is important that people are clear about this, and not misled by how things used to be.
