1st Timers to Spain

We're planning on about 8 days in country and would like some advice on the following itinerary flying into either Madrid or Barcelona:

2-3 days in Madrid

2 days in Seville

2 days in Granada

2-3 days in Barcelona

Is this the right amount of time (too short/too long) for each city? Do we have too many cities?

We enjoy, food, wine, relaxing, nightlife and history

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!!

Fly into Barcelona and out from Seville.

Places like the Prado museum and the Alhambra, buy tickets online to save long queues. You can also buy train tickets online too.

With a tour in the morning and walking in the afternoon, you could do Seville in one day.

You could do the Alhambra in the morning (it gets VERY busy) and pretty much the rest of Granada in the afternoon.

Barcelona and Madrid have quite a lot to see. With travelling you have a very busy schedule.

BTW, Barcelona is the pick pocket capital of Europe so be careful.

Remember, being Spain, many shops, etc shut from around 2pm to 5pm. Do check that you are not there on a Local or National holiday or that could be a day wasted.

I suggest 4 days in Madrid and Barcelona because they are such big cities with many sights.

For train travel:

Read Buying Alhambra Tickets Online and BOOK EARLY.
