Looking for a lovely Inn/Resort as a Base in Andalusia

We have a brief visit to Andalusia end of May - Arrive Madrid, drive or train to Seville (2 nights?) and then hoping to find a lovely Inn or Resort as a Base.

We think a good base would be either Ronda/Marbella/Mijas/Casares/Manilva.... because we're hoping to visit the Alhambra, some white towns, maybe a 1/2 day on a beach and maybe... I know... crazy... a day trip to Tangier. Which is why Ronda or the coast would be best.

I'm finding such conflicting info on hotels.

We are looking for: very clean, comfy, good views and peaceful (no traffic droning in the background), pretty and restorative and a pool. Not a Chain Hotel atmosphere...we want to remember we are in Spain.

We'll have a car so we can drive to meals.

Thank you so much!

Why not try looking at Gaucin. Fantastic views down to the coast and the mountains in Morocco. About 35 minutes to the coast, great restaurants and nice traditional hotels ( plus plenty of very nice guest houses and apartments)Tthere is a railway station about 15 minutes away, that can take you to Ronda ( and then on to major destinations) or down the coast to Algeciras (for ferry to Tangier) there are some great white villages close by

Check out the gaucin website for further info.

How about Grazalema? Traditional, unspoilt and very pretty white village not far from Ronda (which is quite touristy).

If you are looking for authentic Andalucian accommodation, I can recommend the following:

Have a look at the reviews on TA.

Thank you very much for your suggestions! I looked at each and appreciate the ideas.

We decided on: Molino Del Santo based on TA reviews. I can report that so far they have been beyond helpful via email. Details to follow upon returning.
