The train station and the bus station are in the same complex, so does not matter.
If I would be you, I would go from Seville to Cordoba by train. There is a high speed train, that is not ave, is called "lanzadera". The roundtrip ticket is around 21€
The 'Lanzadera' Seville-Cordoba only high speed train departs from Seville Santa Justa at less frequent times than the AVE high speed that continues to Madrid.
Looing at www.renfe.es it appears that in the morning, the times of departure are: 06.50, 08.10, 09.30 (the 09.30 train is daily)
And returning from Cordoba these same trains leave at 15.30, 19.30 and 21.30.
But it's best to check times for day you want to travel. Especially at weekendxs. Of course you can pay more for the privilege of riding the AVE.
That is a Yellow Pages map centered on the train/bus stations at Cordoba - you can zoom in and move the map around to find other places.
