Walking Tours of the City

When: Every day at 10 am and noon.

Where: Meeting point is at a sign in front of the Tourist Office at the Plaza de la Marina.

Cost: 5 euros. One is given a coupon for a drink at El Pimpi.

The tours have been organized by the City Hall and the guides are professional tour guides who take turns.

Few people know about these tours, but they are worthwile.

I think 5€ is better spent towards the guide book "Footsteps through the City of Malaga" available on Amazon and other suppliers. You can then walk the city at your own pace with written "satnav" instructions and a guidebook to go home with.

Agreed Mantalk, always take my copy with me, however, not yet completed one walk, I blame my kneecaps, more my need to re-hydrate due to the heat, well thats my story.

Sounds like a value deal to me for those who do not the city. I await criticism of the actual tour.

A true yorkshireman would buy the book for 5.99 and buy his own drinks!!! especially if more than 2 in the walk. LOL The free drink`ll be "pump" Sangria or a thimble full of Malaga sweet wine. Much prefer the Malaga wines in the old Gaol house at 2€.

I have a friend who has done organised walking tours of York for free, she would be horrified to charge as she is showing off her beautiful home city. Obviously it would not be amiss to offer her a token of appreciation at the completion.

It was the charge for the service that i would question, as i have been a very poor stand in for my friend, I love to show visitors the city of york, to be paid to show off a city seems a shame. Born in the house next to York Minister can find my way round in the dark and locate the ghosts?

Maybe I start a free walking tour of Malaga, likely to incorporate visits to a number of tapas bars

Maybe a win-win for the visitors Hubie, but it's ruined El Pimpi for everyone else.

If any of them had any guts they'd forego the thimble and dare to go elsewhere for a little sharpener - guided by 'Footsteps Through the City of Málaga', obv.
