The Most Unusual Belen in Malaga

The Glass and Crystal Museum now has its belen. The belen is the traditional nativity scene that decorates houses in Spain during the Christmas season.

What is unusual of this belen is that it is made up of 70 Lladro figurines. Many of the figurines are no longer produced, so their value is tremendous these days.

The display is in the lobby and anyone can see it without paying to enter the museum. But I would urge you to see this museum. It is No.1 in Malaga's attractions because people who have seen it have rated it with high points. This is the only museum of its kind in Spain.

We toured the G & C museum, very nice. The owner/tour guide asked how we found them. The Scots on the tour told him it was from TA/ Benny Malaga's comments, he didn't know Benny but was appreciative.

I was one of the first persons to see this museum. My wife told me it had just opened and I was reluctant to go with her, but was glad that I did because the museum was so unusual and beautiful. I think I was the first person to write about it on the internet. Such is the power of the internet that my article has been read by thousands, who now visit the museum from all over the world. However, many local people are still not aware of this museum because they may not have the internet or do not read the local papers.

Benny,

Thanks for sharing. I would love to see their Belen! And it's very generous of the museum owners to share it with non-paying visitors. The real spirit of Christmas!

I'm glad we had the chance to visit the museum this past summer. It was a very educational and beautiful experience. Did you see my review?

Thanks for the update Malagogo, I think Benny must have missed your question. It's good that they are keeping it open longer again this year as they did last.
