Getting around Questions

We will be arriving in Malaga by train from Madrid on a Saturdaay in October. We need to get to the airport to pick up a rental car at the Helle Hollis site at the airport. Can anyone advise us as to the best way to get from the train station to the airport? Second question- we will be driving from the airport to our resort Crown Resort at Club Marbella . Does anyone know approximately how far that is and how long it would take to get there? I thank you for your input on these queries in advance.

' best way to get from the train station to the airport' - by cercanias (commuter) train, every twenty minutes.

'Second question' - if normally flowing traffic, not greater than forty minutes, possibly thirty.

The Helle Hollis depot is just off the airport, not sure if you can walk there from the station but they do have a mini bus transfer which you could ring them to pick you up when you get there.

Club Marbella is in Sitio de Calahonda and from the airport is roughly 30-40 mins on a good run. Have a look on the Sitio de Calahonda forum for lots of info on the area. Here's a link to the Crown Resorts website (we own a timeshare at Club Marbella) and the directions to the resort.

Hope this helps and if you have any other questions about the area don't hesitate to post again on the Sitio de Calahonda forum.

When you arrive at the train station (Maria Zambrano) change to (C1) train toTerminal 3 at the the airport ,and will say "Fuengirola " as its destination and will take about 10 mins .When you get off the train and go up the lift/escalator you will see the Main building about 50 mts away ( just follow other passengers and you will be in the Main Airpot building in 2-3 mins )

ooops take note as above to Helle autos

Winthrop:

With your AVE train ticket from Madrid to Malaga, you can use it to take the Cercanias train to the airport for free. Read Buying Renfe Tickets Online.
