AC Malaga Palacio

Hi,

Anyone stayed at this hotel recently? Your comments would be appreciated.

How conveniently located is this hotel to the main attractions? Is it easy to get to taking the train or the bus from the airport?

Looks like a nice hotel.

Nice hotel but no Spanish character - . typical city type.

Right next to cathedral. Bus stops from Airport opposite hotel.

Don´t have Breakfast in hotel - rip off price + great little cafes just round corner.

Loooooooved it! Real central to just about everything! Shopping, restaurants, historical, everything within walking distance. Beautiful hotel! Don't eat at the hotel restaurant, it was really expensive. I recommend walking the hotel, go right across the street one block and make another right on Larios and it is a beautiful pedestrian street. Also, check out my post "Malaga for a day" posted on May 25, you'll get alot of suggestions there. Try to greet in Spanish, and use as much Spanish as you can, the Spaniards will appreciate your attempt at their language and be much more helpful when you do this!

Thanks for your responses. Do you know if there will be Christmas Eve festivities happening at this hotel?

May be some festivities in hotel but not the busiest night of the festive season.

Christmas Eve is very much a family night here in Spain when the main meal of the festive season is eaten in family homes or restaurants - muxh more important than Christmas Day.

The best nights to be here are 31st December and, especially in Malaga, 5th January/Three Kings.

P.S. Boxing Day (26th December) is a normal working day here.

Stayed in this hotel twice in last two years and really enjoyed it. It's very close to a lot of the sights. Would disagree that the restaurant is expensive, we reckoned it was fair for what you got, but there's so much choice in Malaga there's no need to eat there.

As I've said previously about breakfast in the hotel, think it's excellent, great cold buffet and hot food cooked to order, but it we were on a bed and breakfast basis so included in our price. Like any hotel,if you have to pay for it separately, you will always get a lot cheaper elsewhere.

Would also add that all soft drinks, fruit juices and beer in the mini-bar in the room are already included in your room price, basically you don't pay any extra for them.
