Airport transfer

I have been quoted a price of €75 each way for a private transfer between Malaga airport and La Villa Marbella.

Does anyone know if this is reasonable or could recommend a local taxi company that perhaps would be more economical?

Depends how many people there are :)

Have you tried the usual transfer companies? Travel Republic etc etc.....

Or there is of the course the bus direct from the Airport and then taxi from the Bus Station perhaps?

TravRep are quoting £120 return for a private transfer, or £32pp return for a shared shuttle.

The express bus to Marbella bus station is €8pp each way - it's a very efficient service (non-stop along the autovia).

Stick with the public bus right from the airport door direct to Marbella bus station, no stops, about 7e,uros. Then a short hop in taxi to your hotel (or walk).

If times don't work out for that, get a shared shuttle, around 20e each person, one way - travel republic, resorthoppa or shuttledirect.

The private shuttle is very expensive unless there are a lot of you, and the shared shuttles are really good - nice clean mini buses and seldom more than one or two other stops. I've often been the only pasenger.

Certainly would get the bus, takes less then an hour. Taxi will be minimum fare about 7 euro's a 5 minute journey. A walk from the station to the hotel will take 10 minutes, downhill on arrival.

I quite often get the airport bus when coming back from Marbella, and then the train from the airport - it's quicker than the direct Marbella - Torremolinos buses!

They are air-conditioned coaches rather than buses, comfortable fast journey.
