we're going to Torremolinos in October and wondering which hotel to stay in. Hotel Isabel looks good but is it central?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
We have stayed at the Melia Costa del Sol twice in the last 5 years. It is superb! The rooms all have balconies; the bathrooms are beautiful; the hotel is spotless; the desk staff is wonderful; the breakfast buffet is excellent, as is the coffess shop; the location is great. I could go on & on. We are very well-traveled seniors and (obviously) loved this hotel! Try looking online for the best prices.
I too used to stay at the Melia Costa del Sol but it was very impersonal - typical business hotel.
Now always stay at the 4 star Don Marco - same group but much more friendly and with far better facilities. As it shares the facilities of its 2 sister hotels - all in the same grounds - you have a choice of 9 pools including a heated indoor pool that you may need by October plus 2 Jacuzzis.
Hotel Isabel is a little far out and by October getting ready for closing for part of the Winter.
Sorry - meant to give you web site address for both Melia Costa del Sol and Don Marco:-
The Don Marcos 2 sister hotels are the 4 star Don Pablo and 3 star Don Pedro
While the Don Marco & it's sister hotels are good, the Costa del Sol is NOT impersonal!
