Riu Nautilus, Torremolinos

Thinking of visiting this area November/December 2009 and have seen Riu Nautilus. Are there any recent reviews for this hotel or can anyone suggest a better option? We would really prefer All Inclusive but do not fancy the Torremolinos Beach Club.

The Riu Nautilus is OK and in a much better location than the TBC, incidentally also in a much better location than the Riu Puerto Marina. The TBC is very much out of the way, and it is quiet around there in Nov/Dec.

Are you sure you want to go AI? Along from the Riu Nautilus is Carihuela village, with lots of great restaurants to suit all pockets and the prices are very competitive this year due to La Crisis. It really would be a shame to pay for indifferent and monotonous food when there is so much lovely stuff available! Excellent menus del día from €8, or mains from €5.

Other big hotels nearby are the Hotel Amaragua and the Hotel Pez Espada; for cheap 'n' cheerful have a look at the Tiburon or the Cabello (both B & B only).

I would normally agree with the above comments but i have to say the food in the Nautilus is really good. We stayed there last December.

We also we found the Carihuela and the general area very quiet (and cold) in the evening, so it wasn't a problem eating in the hotel.

Had some nice lunches though!

Thanks Ann. Yes the lunches were lovely, though with the choice of all those great places to eat, some of them weren't that light! :o)
