Transfers from airport to Blue Sea Gran Hotel Cervantes

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can recommend best type of transfers for us. Booking a package to this hotel tonight and they have offered transfers for £56. Flight arrives in after 10pm local time. Is this too late to use public transport? Also on leaving we would need to be at airport for around 6.30am. Is this too early for public transport?

If so does anyone have a recommendation? Taxi or bookable service or hotel transfers etc?

Many thanks

Is the £56 for both ways or just one way? Taxi to hotel from airport would be around €25 each way (may be a bit dearer as its after 10pm but others on here will probably advise).

Torremolinos is reachable very easily via the train station at the airport, its cheap, clean and very reliable. The hotel is around 200m to the left of the station at Torremolinos. Cost is only around €1.50 each person each way I think so as long as you don't have lots of luggage it is the better way to travel and the times are not too early or late for local transport.

Aw that's great, probably just wing it then and try for the train.

We'll have decent size cases as there for a week and i have no idea what travelling light means lol. Although we are both young and fit so should be fine. My main concern was not having trains on at that time of night or morning.

And yes it was £56 for both of us for both ways.

Hotelopedia does a return taxi for £35 to Torremolinos. They are the transfer arm of Thompsons.

Ceejayblue is being a bit optimistic with your timings. The last train from the Airport is at 22.42, and the first arrival is at 6.53. However, it's only 2-3 minutes from arrivals to the platform, slightly further to departures.

Details are at renfe.com/viajeros/…index.html , but only in spanish.

My apologies, I'd misread the info on a site I was on. The Hotelopedia transfers sound a good deal instead.

I'd get a cab from the airport (shouldn't be more than around €22) when you arrive, and just get the train back when you're leaving (Torremolinos station is close to the Cervantes).

Quicker than flaffing about with transfers and cheaper too!

take the train

we're going to this hotel next week and have been before

the train runs directly from the airport to torremolinos, the hotel is literally 5 minutes walk away, you can see the hotel when you come out of the station

it only costs about 3/4 euros,so much cheaper

taxis are expensive in Spain nowadays, the train is fast and cheap

Jan, it's ok to say the train but the OP probably won't make the train to Torremolinos because of their arrival time.

I wouldn't rush about trying to break your neck to catch the last train when you can just take it easy and wander outside and grab a cab, especially at that time of night.

Then if you like grab the train on your return journey :)
