The L2 bus runs from the bus station down the front, Playa bajondillo and Playa Playamar, passing the Tarik at a loop back to the bus station.

The L1 runs from the centre in a loop down to the marina in Benalmadena, up to the bull ring and back to the centre

You pay on entry to the bus, think the fare 1.32, but having a senior moment cant remember.

From the bus station you can bus's up and down the coast.

Doesn't L1 terminate at Hotel Sol Aloha in Montemar Bajo and the return to Torre centre?

Yes the L1 does terminate at the Sol Aloha Puerto, 5 mins walk along the paseo from Benalmádena Marina and a much cheaper fare than getting the buses along the main road (which only drop you at Plaza Solymar these days anyway, which is further away!).

Denny, it depends on what you mean by 'tourist spots'. As Ian has said, the L2 will take you up into the town centre from the Tarik, but most of Torremolinos happens along the paseo so you're probably better off walking along the paseo (both ways, left is Los Álamos, right is Bajondillo and then La Carihuela ).

The L1 does not terminate at the Sol Aloha Puerto, it is just a stop on the route, you dont have to get off, is just the furthest point it gets away from the Torremolinos. You have to get off when it reaches the bus station, often stops for up to 15 minutes..

We always get on outside palm beach, only once has it stopped for about 5 minutes at Aloha Puerto

By "terminate" I was merely pointing out the final stop in it's journey in Torremolinos towards Benalmadena before returning to the centre of Torre. As you say there is no requirement to alight but Aloha Puerto is a "timing" point which means that the driver may stop for a little while to get back on schedule .

Picky, picky, picky! What's wrong with everyone these days?

OK, so technically the L1 doesn't terminate at the Sol Aloha. It does have 'Aloha' on its front though, and it does stay outside if ahead of time.

It's a circular route! Get a grip!

If you intend to use these buses a few times, then books of 10 tickets can be purchased at the bus station office at a considerable discount, it doesn't take much to use ten tickets. Also worth mentioning that the L1 serves Montemar Alto rail station, La Batteria park and goes close to the Carrefour shopping centre.

hi there does it go closer to the Carrefour than the Pinillo train station is as when we were there the other week we had to carry our (rather heavy) shopping back to the railway station and were wondering if there was a better way of doing it rather than a taxi - does anyone know how much a taxi would be roughly back to Torremolinos post office in the centre? thanks
