type of stew in chiringuito

when I was using merendero Patati I saw a pot of what I assumed to be a form of stew. I resolved to have some before I came home but the day I had chosen they did not do it so I had Fidella instead. The stew appeared to have blood sausage and chorizo as well as vegetables and possibly chick peas. Has anyone any idea what the stew could have been please.

It sounds to me to be Fabada. If you are in Arroyo, they make a delicious one in Alborada. You can actually buy it in suoermarkets in tins, but of course not anywhere as good as home made ;-)

Rufino in Montemar Bajo also does a good one.(Corner of Calles Puerto Real & Espana). If you like that type of food also try his Callos (Tripe)

El Levante does a lovely Puchero on a Monday lunchtime, but you have to get there early as it goes quite quickly...

Diner: Always great food in Taberna Andaluza Rufino, when we come out of Torremolinos this is normally the start of our tapas trail back into Torremolinos along the front, never normally lets us down with his daily special.

Couldn't agree with you more Ian. Sr.Rufino is a great character and he and his two sons have kept us well fed, served and entertained for many years in this and the previous restaurant.
