Is there a lift at the airport?

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if there is a lift at the train station at Malaga airport?

I will have two suitcases with me and i require easy access to the railway station but without having to use the escalator. Is there a lift?

Thanks for any help.

There is no lift at Torremolinos station which is underground, just an escalator, which is out of action a lot of the time.

In addition if travelling in the direction of the airport from Torremolinos you must take the steps up and down to get under the railway line.

There are two lifts at the airport train station. When you have bought your ticket(s) and passed through the barrier, the lifts are beyond the escalators.

The lift on the right hand side goes down to the Torremolinos/Benalmadena/Fuengirola platform and the lift on the left hand side goes down to the Malaga City platform.

Do check which Torremolinos station you need - since you have posted on the Torremolinos site I assume you are staying here. As Ian has said the station at Torremolinos is a disgrace, although we do have some fabulous new ticket machines! so if you are planning on Central Torremolinos you should use a taxi. The escalator has been well behaved of late and hasn't broken down for a long time but when it does the nightmare gets worse.

P.S. You may be able to use the bus if you check the timetable. I saw a 128 go by this afternoon completely empty and we need customers to use it or we will lose it. http://www.ctmam.es/lineas/M-128

manzana: have to say there was just 8 people including us on the airport bus, we were the first off at the carihuela, so no stopping until this point (had to stop at bus station), we were in our hotel in 30 minutes from the bus setting off and none of the hassle of trying to direct the taxi driver to the hotel.
