what is grenada like during corpus christi?

Are the shops and sights closed (on the day itself and on the surrounding days)? Or is it business as usual apart from that there is a parade in the evening? Im not too intereseted in the feria, just the religious parade

Thanks

The Thursday, which is Corpus itself, is a public holiday in Granada, so most shops are closed. However, sights like the Alhambra are open, most bars and restaurants are open and various tourist shops are open too. The religious parade starts at 11 in the morning, and finishes at 19.30, with a break from 14 to 17.30 in the middle (at least, those were the times in 2013).

All of the other days that week are really just normal working days, and all sights and shops are open, although the Tarasca procession on the Wednesday blocks some of the main streets for a few hours.
