Flamenco in Granada

Good evening all,

Today's sad news of Paco de Lucia's passing reminded me I never acted on my plans to see him live.

So, not that it will ever make up for that missed opportunity, but when I'll be in Granada in early May where would you suggest I could go ?

I read Piccavey's blog on this subject, very well made and full of info. Anything else I should know ?

Yes, the whole of Spain mourns the death of the best flamenco guitarist of Spain. He was only 66.

For flamenco:

Zambra La Rocío

Camino del Sacromonte, 70

Tel. 958-227-129

Web: http://www.granadainfo.com/rocio/engl...

The performer is Juan Andres Maya, who has been invited to perform in the White House.

By the way, do you have Paco de Lucia's Entre Dos Aguas album? This album is great.

I hear on the news on the radio this morning that the city of Algeciras is planning to have a museum for Paco de Lucia.

Here is a video of him playing Entre Dos Aguas. Entre Dos Aguas (between two waters) means that Algeciras is between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean.

Good news about the museum, it might take a while before it is up and running.

And I do not have Entre Dos Aguas as such, I will have to look for it when in Spain, that is great music.
