Best hotel for 2 nights

We're staying in Sevilla for 2 nights and would like to be in the center of everything so we can make the best of it. Which hotel do you recommend that is within walking distance to everything?

I have just booked a place in Seville for two nights in November through HomeAway.com. We've also booked through Air BNB for a two night stay in another Spanish city. Although, we have not stayed in either place yet, there was quite a variety of prices and options.

Travel:

I usually stay at the Hotel Becquer. This is a very good hotel with a very good breakfast buffet and walkable to most of the sights.

best hotel in seville is Alfonso XIII, and it is in a perfect location. Having said that, any hotel in Arenal or Santa Cruz neighborhood would be well located for exploring the main sights by foot.

What about the Melia Sevilla in Dr Pedro de Castro, 1 ?

Is this close to the main sights?

it is close, but it is not in the historic center. I would say 30 mins walk to the cathedral/alcazar and 10 to Plaza de Espana. But you have buses and trams that will take you to the city center in no time.

Melia on Pedro de Espana is not my idea of "best hotel for 2 nights".

Answer depends on what you define as "best".

If you mean hotel where you will be comfortable and in a central position within the Casco Antiguo (old city boundary) then plenty but all depends on budget.

Alfonso XIII is high end but very nice indeed. So is the Gran Melia Colon. Both could be classed as top end and "best" but maybe not "best buys".

We looked at the Becquer and it looks very nice. What do you think?

Across the street from the Hotel Becquer is this very good restaurant:

El Cairo

Calle Reyes Catolicos, 13

Tel. 954-563-448

This is a moderately priced restaurant that serves very good seafood.
