World Cup Football

I'll Be in Seville for the first week of the world cup. Looking for good bars with decent TVs to watch a few games. Around the alameda would be best but don't really mind. Want a bar(s) with a good crowd interested in the games rather than it just being on in the background.

Spain play on Friday 13th at 9.00pm

England on Saturday 14th at midnight

Germany/Portugal Sunday 15th at midnight

Brazil play on Monday 17th

These are my "not to miss games"

A 15 minute walk from La Alameda is Merchants Malt House c/Canalejas. That's the place for you. Google their website.

You beat me to it, trotamundos! I was going to suggest Merchants, as well. It's a place I have been to - and where my daughter usually goes, albeit to watch the rugby, but football is well catered for, too!

Having said that, if Spain is involved, pretty much any bar, with a television, will probably be showing the match!!

When Spain are playing, will there be any outdoor screens where the locals will gather in mass to watch the games? I will be there on night of spain's last group game so would like to sample the atmosphere!

For the Germany game(s) check out Bar Alleman de Ingrid. By the Hotel Becquer. Good place as I caught a friendly and Bundesliga match there. Many TV's, German foods and beers.

Lots of bars for watching any of these matches but was hoping for idea of outdoor venues?

Hi as it is much nearer the time of the World Cup now, anyone heard of outdoor venues showing Spain's games on a big screen yet? Particularly interested in the game on 23 June (Spain vs Australia).

for the Eurocup there were big screens outdoor in:

- Metropol Parasol (Plaza de la Encarnacion) : for free

- Auditorio Rocio Jurado: with a ticket

- Isla Magica theme park: included in the entrance of the park.

- some movie theaters were display Spain matches, with a ticket.

But for this World cup I cannot find anything :(

So I guess it is too early (about time now....)
