San Sebastián-Donostia is a very small city, you can go walking anywhere. And there´re three beaches...so most hotels are very close to it. The closer to the beach, the more expensive it is, though. So it´s really a question of your budget.

We spent two nights in an attic terrace room (7th floor) at Hotel Londres in October, and it was fabulous. I have the photo of the beach on my computer as a screen saver to remind me of how wonderful that vacation was. Wonderful room, gorgeous view of the sea. It was pricey, but worth it. Easy 5 min. walk to the old town for lunch or dinner, or 10 min in the other direction to catch the funicular to the top of the mountain. Cannot wait to return.
