Best and most beautiful beaches -first timer.

Hubbie and I are looking for a relaxing hol and having read that Ibiza have some amazingly beautiful turquoise water, we want to stay somewhere low key and very close to a beautiful amd hopefully quieter beach (preferably stay somewhere with an ocean view and within spitting distance lol). That said, I am confused as to what area(s) to even begin to look at!

We are unfortunately on a budget and therefore cannot splurge although we would look into hiring a car to explore some of the more bustling locations. Our style is more, relax, take in gorgeous scenery and quaint villages, swim in stunning azuere sea, eat fresh local food and sample some cold cocktails ;-)

Any advice about what beaches to stay by and accomodation would be gratefully received!

Playa den Bossa has 6 km of golden sands with many hotels along its length at all price ranges. also gives you the option to hop over to Formentera where there are hundreds of small coves with the beautiful waters you crave and many totally deserted.

You could of course stay on Formentera and tick all your boxes

ian, you should point out that pdb is only 6 km long if you walk all the way along it twice!

MM I was really referring to the length of beach, I used to walk all the way round the coast towards the airport, from the PDB jetty with my pedometer on, I used to try to walk about 5/6 km before turning round.

Now after my heart attack and subsequent stroke happy if I do half a km.

Accept all the 6km not within the boundary of PDB

Just measured it on Google Earth. From the harbor to the end of the beach at the Palladium Palace it's 2.7Km.

Those were the days when every day I used to walk to the tower on the corner by the nudist beach, turn round and cheated if tired by getting the bus back at the P P

Today I turn round at Bor Bora which I always take as the half way point to PP., stops at Hotel garbi and Casa manolo now delay the return. Cant do in one go.

On this basis more then 6km of golden sand from the jetty going west on the beach.

Beach wise, I enjoy Ses Salines.

I like Salinas too....but only when there's hardly anyone else there.
