Villages

Hi-does anyone know of any small villages in central Ibiza where we could 'get away from the crowds' and enjoy some authentic tapas.

we will be hiring a car for a few days and want to see some of the real Ibiza.

Also-I have heard that there are some spectacular views in the North of the island.

Many thanks

Pam

One of my favourites is Santa Agnes. Lovely church and a great bar called Cosmi. Santa Gertrudis is lovely, especially at night, when it really comes alive in the main square.

cala D'Hort a must to visit with a cra with its views of Es vedra. Another vote for Santa Gerdrudis, has for us the best concentration of tapas bars on the island.

Truthfully a lunch time place for me, in mid summer dont want to eat when hot and therefore like to sit down around midnight, options in S G limited at this time. Therefore night time for me has to be Ibiza town for tapas and meals, but not before midnight, you will be on your own.

LordK. Out of the bag now. We always bring a bottle of Hierbas back, when you open our fridge door, first think that meeets you.

Hierbas, wonderful stuff, practically a health drink with all those jolly little herbs, that`s my excuse and I`m sticking to it !

Yes, like the Hierbas too. If you go to Cala D'hort have a lunch time paella in the restaurant overlooking Sa Vedra. Another vote for Santa Gertrudis, but it has become a bit touristy. The drive along the coast to Es Cubells is very pretty.
