Please help - which town?

My fiance and I are considering spending time in Majorca for our honeymoon in May of next year. We would like to stay in a quaint, low-key town with a few good restaurants/bars (not a busy city). Being near a beach is a plus but is not a must depending on other factors. Is there any particular village that you would recommend? We are interested in relaxing, drinking wine and enjoying the culture.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Look at the North East of the island- maybe Fornalutx, Deja, Valldemossa, perhaps old town of Pollenca, or in the south east of the island somewhere like Cala Figuera, Porto Petro or Santanyi.

Valldemossa is a lovely village with enough restaurants to keep you well fed.It can get busy with day trippers though as it is very popular.

Sant Elm is very pretty, and also has a beach.

My personal choice would be Soller town which has all you are after. It is a charming town with enough going on to make it interesting yet if you fancy some peace and quiet it is only a stroll away. The hamlet of Biniraix is within easy walking distance and is a beautiful place to sit and unwind.

Fornalutx, Deia and Valldemossa are also within easy travelling distance.

The town is connected to Puerto Soller by a quaint old tram service. The port offers plenty of choice in bars and restaurants as well as a couple of small but nice beaches.
