Car Hire

I am going to Majorca on 2nd October & want to hire a car from the airport for 7 days. Some companies seem to charge you for a full tank of petrol & you return it empty, which doesn't sound like a good deal to me!

Can anyone recommend a reliable, reasonably priced company where I can pick up from the airport (without too much hanging around!) & collect & return with a full tank.

Sixt also operate a Full-Full policy and although slightly more expensive are highly regarded by their customers

I was very impressed with Sixt when I used them in June; full-full policy applies. And I finally located the petrol station at Palma airport where one can do a final top-up of the tank to ensure it's full on return.

I wouldn't consider sixt "slightly more expensive" - they wanted DOUBLE what we are paying and thats for a much smaller car too!

We booked through www.cardiddy.com and got a great price on a 5 door Seat Ibiza diesel - they do have a full - empty fuel policy, but their price also covers 2 drivers on the insurance and they meet you at the airport with the car.

One thing that I found when booking was that playing with the pick up /drop off times slightly, we could save about £20! ( just by changing the drop off by half an hour!)
