I would say Calan Bosch as it has a nice beach and nice dinky marina and there is a good bus service to Ciutadella.

Really depends on what else you want from a resort, ie, not bothered about beaches, want entertainment, etc...

Cal'n Bosch is a good choice but not much in walking distance from the resort other than places in the resort itself. Maybe have a look at Cala Galdana as well - as well as the fantastic beach on resort there's 2 other untouched beaches within 45 mins walking distance (Mitjana and Macarella) and others further on - I guess you could waljk to Cala Trebalugar in about 90 mins and Macareletta in about an hour).

Any kids going? if so what age - thats the clincher. Cal'n bosch is better for the young'uns, Galdana for the slightly older.

We have just returned from Cala 'n Bosch and can highly recommend it for your needs. There are plenty of bars and restaurants which cater to every taste (Bar Las Tapas was great) and there are 2 beaches, the smaller Cala 'n Bosch beach and a few minutes walk further away is the beach of Son Xouriger which is longer but narrower. Water very clear at both beaches - take some snorkelling gear if you have some.

We would return to this resort.

:)

Thanks everyone I will definitely have a look at those they sound really good. We have no children so thats not an issue where we go. Also I saw a villa in Punta Prima, is that any good for restaurants and beach and walks?

Thanks!

Punta Prima has a lovely beach and some nice restaurants. You can walk to Son Ganxo and Binibeca from there. Not a lot on the entertainment side though.
