I will be traveling with my 70 year old mother to Madrid and Barcelona in April. We have not booked the flights but will in the next week or so. So far we are thinking 10 days total but can extend that for up to three days. In looking at side trips, she thought that a day in Minorca looked wonderful. I think we need two nights minimum, but I am having a hard time telling how easy it is to get around the island using just the busses. If we fly from Madrid to Minorca for just a day or two, is it even worth it? Or should we just stick with our original Madrid/Barcelona plan? Mom is in okay shape for her age, and can walk all day but doesn't like anything too crazy/exciting. She does like to walk and she loves beaches. I like the look of both the town of Mahon and Ciudadella. We don't either of us do nightlife. Can you help two aging travelers?
