Which resort?....

Am looking to book a holiday this Easter in Fuerteventura with hubby and a10 yr old daughter, but cannot decide which resort to go to. Never been to this island before so any advice would be appreciated. We are wanting AI for one week. We don;t like the usual brit thing (if you know what I mean). Jandia looks nice, but is it more geared up for germans and the nudists? Or caletta? Any help please?

try takeing a look at 1 of the RIU hotels in corrlejo, thay both very nice! as for jandia yes u will find many more germans there then english, corrlejo is more the populor part of the island for the brits, but the riu hotels are not in the main resort of corrlejo thay are just out of town set rite on the best beach on the island, its a 5min taxi ride to all the shops if you fancy doing some shoping,

have you ever consider half board?? we always do half board every time we visit the island and just buy rolls from nettos for lunch, if you want a very good 4* half board hotel take a look at BLUE BAY PALACE

Brits go North mainly, to Corralejo, el Cotillo, and Caleta de fuste. Corralejo is ok, Cotillo a lot less developed, and Caleta to be avoided unless you like Eastenders. Down South, Costa Calma and further on Jandia are very nice but as you say over-run by germans, and some nudists on the beach. However the nudists get dressed off the beach and the germans are mainly well-behaved and don't get drunk all the time. Riu is a good chain, and half-board is a sensible option. Look them up on their website. For a first, maybe Corralejo is your best bet. Riu Tres Islas is very nice if you have the readies. Thomson have a package.

Hi there, Please see this page www.leisurezone.es/fvresort.html for an overview of all the resort areas.

Corralejo is the "busiest" resort and does have some Brit restaurants. It has more shops, international restaurants and things to do than any of the other resorts and is also the gateway to Lanzarote and Isla de Lobos if you fancy notching up another couple of islands when you are here. www.leisurezone.es/ferrytimetables.html

Caleta has a man-made beach area which is safe for family bathing. Costa Calma and Morro Jable (Jandia) have great beaches but may not have enough to keep your daughter amused.

Whichever resort you decide on .... enjoy!
