Carnival in Las Palmas in February / March

Any advice on seeing the Carnival in Las Palmas -is it safe to go,what sort of themes and how much does it cost. Anything else that might be of help.

Yes, it is safe, but like anywhere with crowds, you need to be vigilant. It doesn't cost anything as it is held in the street.

Hi Hermanaeriza, any ideas what date the carnival is at its best? We are going 24th Feb to 3rd March and I believe the events go on until 8th Mar. What places are the best for viewing ie, the Start Point or some special Statue or Market. We are also keen hikers is there any good walking on gran canaria?

If you Google you will be able to find dates for Carnival. The parade travels along the main street which runs through the centre of the city. The road is about 7Km long, so anywhere along the route is fine.

Yes, there would be hiking in GC, but not my thing. Start another thread with your question and you will get a better response.
