Restaurants in Los Gigantes and Playa de la Arena

Hi, I have booked a holiday in Tenerife for late September and am staying in the resort of Los Gigantes.

Would anyone be able to recommend some good places to eat in the area please?

Many thanks

Fettuccine is good ....Rios, very Spanish simple food ,very cheap, we loved it ....

Belle the DE for Los Gigantes says the chicken shack is good and El Timon.....Flor del Drago (not on the list) just below the hotel Playa la Arena ...Excellent....

The only ones I could recommend as I have eaten there several times are the Flor del Drago in Playa de la Arena and El Barco de Nino next to the Barcelo Santiago Hotel.

There are several though and I am sure someone can tell you how good or otherwise they are. Some include

Tajlnaste (Los Gigantes/Tamaimo Road) specialising in barbecued meat and chicken

Sauc (El Varadero - PdlArena) Italian

La Toscana (PdlArena) - English breakfasts, snacks, sandwiches.

Tasca Donde Tato (in front of Barcelo Santiago Hotel) Canarian

We also like Miranda's near hotel Los Gigantes. It's a bit pricey but Steaks are fab! Will second Aguilas for Barco de Nino and yes, Sylla is right El Timon in the Mar Blanco commercial centre next to Barcelo in Puerto de Santiago and the Chicken Shack in the old part of Puerto de Santiago.

Bamboo Patisserie in Los Gigantes is also nice for cake and coffee as is the cafe (can't remember the name) underneath El Timon & Barco de Nino. It shares the same fab views over La Gomera as they do and is nice to have a drink and watch the sunset.

that's brilliant...I was worried (as most reports of the area say that it is quietish) that there wouldn't be many places to eat, but it sounds like I have no reason to be concerned at all.

Will definitely have to give the coffee and cake place a go to as well as the restaurants recommended!

Cheers

And Princess if you fancy a 15 minute bus ride for a few euros ......go to the small town of Playa San Juan ..walk along the sea front to the little harbour and just opposite is La Taberna de Puerto restaurant ...lovely food...

We were on half-board so only had snacks but Paraiso del Sol (between the main square and the harbour) seemed fine sand was well patronised (with Vittorio quite entertaining ushering you in).
