Car Hire, Australian driver's license is OK?

We are just looking for a one day car hire to see Mt Teide and drive around the island. Is my Queensland, Australia driver's license enough? I don't need an international driver's license?

Travelling in a non english speaking country, it is advisable to have an International Driving Permit. Contact the Queensland Auto association for clarification.

You need an International Drivers Permit, which you get from the RACQ. You can be fined if you do not have one, and the rental company may refuse to rent a car.

Do not get an International Drivers License off the Internet. These are all scams, selling worthless pieces of paper.
