A Sunday morning Market?

Hi guys,

we enjoyed the Sunday Market in Teguise (Lanzarote).. is there anything like this in Tenerife?

We did not buy much, just a few presents.. but it was a nice relaxed atmosphere

we ll be there from the 8th > 15th May

thanks

You might find the the market in Los Cristianos quite a bit different from the one in Teguise on Lanzarote :)

There are loads of Sunday markets on Tenerife. In the north most of them are agricultural markets which are great for picking up local produce - wines, cheeses, honeys etc. Some have handcrafts as well. If you've got a car, the one at Tacoronte is one of the best if you want to see an authentic local market whereas there's another at Tegueste which is a lot smaller but quite charming.

Plus, as you're in Puerto you've got the markets there as well.

If you do go to the market in Los Cristianos by car, look out for Siam Park on your right and once you pass, take the next exit for Los Cristianos. You'll come to a roundabout and take the first exit and you will see a very tall hotel in the distance called the Princesa Sol Dacil. Head for that and you can't miss the market (in fact you'll probably end up parking near this hotel).

Hi, the largest market is in Santa Cruz on a Sunday. There is a good market in Puerto on a Saturday. However these markets are more like car boot sales.

we ve got a few busy days on Thursd, Friday and Saturday. hiking Teide, diving, and a day visit to a vineyard. so last night we were thinking to take it easy that Sunday.either Puerto , Tacoronte o Tegueste!
