Puerto Pollensa (Majorca) was inspiration for Agatha Christie's short story entitled "Problem at Pollensa Bay". The detective is Parker Pyne. As far as I know, this is the only Christie's story set in Spain.

Although she didn't mention Tenerife by name, the location of the Agatha Christie short story 'The Man From the Sea' is accepted as being set on the island. She describes the area of La Paz (in Puerto de la Cruz) and includes the historic Cologan house that she visited during her time in Puerto.

It's still here.

Very interesting! I've read most of her books and never knew any were written in Tenerife. That was a good blog spot ONL.
