Turquesa Playa and Playa Jardin?

Hi, we've booked for the Turquesa Playa for Feb half term, would anyone know about the children's entertainment at the hotel (have looked at reviews and not found much info) - if it is on or not, and any info/feedback on this hotel please?

Also, would the children be able to play on Playa Jardin? Understand its volcanic black sand - ok for sandcastles etc? All the pics are of people sunbathing...

Last, is there no price for transfers from the airport less than 200Euros for 5 of us?

Thank you!

Hi, I have not used the hotel, so can't comment on that. Playa Jardin is three black sandy beaches, with a coastal walk with gardens, children's play area, bars and restaurants. Loro Parque is also close by.

The black sand is too dry for sand castles, also local shops don't sell 'buckets and spades', so you may need to bring these with you.

The centre of old Puerto is a short walk away.

We always use the local bus from and to the airport. With a BONO discount card the fare is €6. The buses are very good we have used them to travel all around the island.

We have been to Turquesa Playa a few times and have to confess that I have only very seldom seen a child in the hotel , however there are loads of things for children to do and as the previous poster said Loro Park is just a few minutes walk away as is the bus terminal,I would also advise using the airport bus as the terminal in P.D.L.C.is only a few minutes walk and if you dont fancy the walk a couple of euros will get you a taxi, there is a taxi rank at the terminus, hope you enjoy your stay as we always do Bill

P.S bono passes can be bought in the airport foyer as you go out to buses they cost 12 or 30 euros just ask someone which shop sells them

Thank you very much Rickybear and ojosazules, for the very useful info. Not too keen on a bus because we have little children but have found a return shuttle for around £120 for the 5 of us.
