Need a car for transfers, 3 couples, north of spain trip

Can anyone recommend a company or driver to take us from Madrid to San Sebastian, another transfer from San Sebastian to Santander, then another transfer to Oviedo and finallly to Santiago de Compostela.

Maybe then can do also day trips on the cities when are staying. Thank you for your help, I have looked into many sites but they do not answer my e mails.

The law in Spain means that Private transfer drivers have to be registered as taxis. So if you want a private driver than you should contact taxi services in each city you are based in to move onto the next. However have you thought about the cost. Some of the distances you want to travel are huge and this will obviously cost a lot of money. It may be better value for money to look into using either bus or trains...you can fly from Madrid to SS too.

Yes, Casa is right, it will cost you an absolute fortune to do all that by taxi. There are good, reliable buses between Madrid and San Sebastian, and then all the way from San Sebastian to Santiago (one bus does the whole length of that route, stopping in Santander and Oviedo on the way) with ALSA, www.alsa.es, which you can books in advance from abroad. The buses which run the whole length of the route only have "normal" class, which is basically normal coach transport, slightly reclining seats etc. But if you look at the journey in sections, (for example SS to Santander, Santander to Oviedo and Oviedo to Santiago), you'll see that there are 2 classes available, normal, and "supra+" which are much more comfortable coaches, huge seats, with 2 on one side of the aisle and one on the other, waitress service, and complementary drinks, snacks, headphones, newspapers etc. This class is obviously more expensive, but nothing compared to what it will cost you in taxis.

Another possible way to do one stretch, from Santander to Oviedo, could be on the lovely FEVE narrow gauge railway, which runs 2 trains daily between the cities, taking in the seaside and countryside as it goes along. It's slow, but relaxing and comfortable. It does run on to Ferrol in Galicia, but not all the way to Santiago. www.feve.es

Thank you for the advise, we wanted a private driver so we could stop in Burgos on the way from Madrid to San Sebastian and also when moving from the other cities stop when we wanted for food or sightseeing. What I could do is get one in each city, the cost will be split in 3 so it is no problem.
