daughter working/studying in Segovia

hi my daughter has just learnt she will be placed in a language school in Segovia teaching english from nxt sept till june 2014. she has to go over in may for an introduction so im just wondering how big of a city is it , is it easy to get around? taxis? busses, is there a metro?

Also, what can she expect in the line of nightlife, arethere lots of hip clubs etc also as its inland are there public pools for a swim. thanks

Segovia can be walked because the center is not that big. There are buses and taxis, no metro.

Your daughter will find for herself about nightlife. I would not worry about that.

The good thing is that Segovia is the culinary capital of Castile-Leon and she will eat very well. Tell her to bring warm clothes.

Madrid is only half an hour from Segovia using the AVE. Read Buying Renfe Tickets Online.

Many times there is snow. May and June have very good weather. July and August are quite warm.

Your daughter will be able to travel around the area and get to see much of Spain. She is lucky.

She is lucky. She will probably have a great time. It's a beautiful city. Nightlife in any city of that size in Spain will be great. On weekends it can go until 7 or 8 the next morning.
