Need Hotel Advice

We're going to be in Barcelona for a total of three nights in March - 1 night before a cruise, and 2 nights after. We want to be in a safe area (we know to watch out for pickpockets), and in a convenient area to see the sights of Barcelona.

Hotels that we are considering are:

H10 Montcada

Casa Camper

Inglaterra Hotel

Husa Avenida Palace

Hotel Denit

Which of these hotels would you recommend?

Also, which hotels would be in areas where we would feel comfortable walking?

Hi,

They are all in areas where you would feel comfortable walking, the one exception might be Casa Camper. This is in Raval, an area that is in the process of being gentrified, you'll feel ok in the immediate area but farther down in the raval, towards the sea you may feel uncomfortable, but you don't need to go through that area.

Whist you are waiting for views on the hotels have you read the reviews? All the hotels have lots of reviews on this site

Yes, I have read the reviews and have narrowed our choices to the hotels listed above. Thanks for your input about the Raval district.

Several hotels, including the Hotel Inglaterra (Majestic Hotel Group) are offering some excellent discounts during March for what they call "Early Bird" bookings. The Hotel Inglaterra has an internet rate of €99/night for its classic double (66% discount), while the 5-star Majestic has a rate of only €199/night for the classic double (60% discount).

The rates are even better it you book more than one night, three nights usually being the best offer, but in this case the prices are outstanding regardless. If you go with the Inglaterra, you has access to all of the services of the 5-star Majestic.
