April trip to Nou Camp to watch FC Barcelona

Hi,

Have reached a decision point.

Am traveling to Barcelona over weeknd of April 23rd to 26th.

Quite happy to stay north or south of Barcelona or Tarragona eg Calella but really looking for most sensible option of getting back to hotel after The Game (which may be 10, 11 or 12 pm).

Does anyone have any experience of doing this trip and if so what would you suggest.

Budget around 200-250 mark hence not staying in Barca itself.

Advice gratefully accepted

the most sensible option is to rent an apartment in your price range (not at all difficult to find), ideally in close proximity to Nou Camp. You will spend more getting to/from some out of the way place that will be a miserable existence, and you will actually get to enjoy Barna (the correct abbreviation for Barcelona, Barca refers only to the football team).

Hi,

If you come to see the game (and the city?), I'd stay in Bar-na.

(I am not sure how is mark to euro and if you are 1 person ?)

I don't have experience myself , but it seems at night it's only buses as far as to Calella (Sagales N-82) or to Sitges every hour .

(to Tarragona you'd have wait for the first train(?) in the morning ??)

Commuting to B. wd limit your day time very much , too.

You know the game may be on Sat or Sunday (time/day set 10 days prior) ?

A:)

Hi,

Thanks for your comments. I am aware that the game could be on either day and it would be great to see the sights of Bar-na.

Calella doesnt seem to be too far out of the way and as it is only me and my brother coming (both mid 30's) I dont see too many problems travelling by bus or taxi at night.

Must admit Tarragona looks too far out of the way and has now been discounted.

Thankyou

Sir,

Thankyou for your comments earlier this year when I posted about travelling to Barcelona to watch the football.

You will be pleased to know that although we had several changes of plan we eventually made the Barca v Tenerfie game earlier this month.

We flew into Reus, hired a car and stopped down the coast in Cap de Salou.

The city of Barcelona is beautiful and we will be returning later this year to finish off our sight seeing.

The match was very good and the stadium amazing.

The weather was very wet though on the night of the game.

Thankyou for your help and advice.

Yes we did.

The flights into Reus were very cheap with Ryanair.

Car rental for 5 days including insurance was £65 and hotel cost about £80 each.

With tickets for the game at £50, we did the whole trip for less than £300 each and that included food, drinks and spending money.

A great holiday.
