No need to worry, there are regular bus times, you can check them on the ryanair website and collect a bus timetable when you buy your tickets.

when one bus fills, another is brought forward so you will never be waiting more than around 20 minutes, it takes 70 minutes to arrive at Barcelona Nord bus station.

The return ticket costs €21 and is valid for 30 days.

Where is your hotel in town? I can give you a suggested route to take fro0m the bus station via the metro if you like.

Bon viatge!

When you leave the girona airport terminal building turn right and the bus is right in front of you, pay at the kiosk -pick up a timetable- and board the bus handing ticket to driver.

When you arrive at estacio del nord bus station, look left when getting off the bus to top of bus station, to some huge metal gates. Metro station Arc de Triomf is through them, up some steps and over the road. If you have heavy luggage, where theres the walkway over the bus station, head for that as there is a lift to street level. Go out lift turn right towards taxi rank then go to left following bus station wall round and thats the slightly easier way to metro. Theres a ticket machine that speaks english but often there are staff to help out and machine takes notes, dispenses change. You may want to get a T-10 which is valid til end of year and gives 10 journeys (and two or more people can use the card at same time) but you can also use on bus or tram and lucky you, you have all three past your hotel.

METRO:

At arc de triomf, take L1 direction Hospital de Bellvitge (red line) one stop to metro station Urquinaona and change to L4 direction La Pau (yellow line) and your station is MARESME FORUM. Inside the metro carriage, eirher end are arrows and the one that lights up indicates what side to get off at each station.

L4 is handy to get to the Ribera/Born districts from Barceloneta metro station, Barri Gotic from Jaume 1

and the HOHO bus in plaça de catalunya from Uriquinaona metro.

TRAM:

head for those big metal gates go through them turn left past station and police station head through parc estacio del nord and at the large roundabout you take your tram from Marina (direction estacio de sant adria) and get off at FORUM, your hotel is 20 metres from this stop.

BUS:

a number 7 bus is 3 blocks walk from gran via de les corts catalanes direct to hotel. Up in lift out towards taxi rank turn left to street corner then right and go up carrer de napolis 3 blocks to the gran via. This bus will take you from hotel to passeig de gracia which is one block away from plaça de catalunya for the HOHO bus etc, and will take you right to casa batllo, la pedrera and all the fabby shops of the eixample. You can also change buses to a number 24 in passeig de gracia which takes you all the way up to the gates at parc guell.

Phew! Hope this makes sense! One other good thing about the departure lounge at Girona airport is EDIBLE food!!! The Medas catering at far left in departures does generous portions of tasty stews pasta etc for around €6, i saw a cooked to order hamburger with salad that looked like it had been grown in sunsine, also great sandwiches and freshly squeezed orange juice at €2.70. There is also an outdooor rooftop beer garden with variety of drinks and the cervesas are €1.95 which isnt bad price!

Bon viatge!

one last thing....

Theres a cracker of a locals only restaurant called El Rancho Grande at avinguda diagonal, 73 which is in your neck of the woods, tele: 93 307 07 05 it might help if you got your hotel to check opening times and get directions as its not easy to find until you get there. But well worth it!

Bon profit!

I believe the busses are arranged according to flights, so there should always be a bus for any scheduled flight.
